A little about Daph!

Texas born and based composer Daph Anastasia crafts music deeply rooted in the natural world with a sense of childlike wonder. Music was Daph's first language, as she learned to read sheet music before Spanish, despite her father's Galician and Andalusian heritage. She began playing piano as soon as she could sit and has been taking voice lessons, in choirs and in small ensembles since the age of 5. Daph earned an Associate's in Music Composition from Austin Community College, where she set a record for the most pieces debuted by a student in their first four semesters, including nine original compositions and one arrangement. Beyond the concert hall, Daph has also explored composition for video games, creating "little ditties" for titles like Karmacist, Prom: Paradise & Pandemonium and Dormant Deliveries for the Texas based Return 0 Productions. Outside of music, Daph enjoys baking, reading, and spending time with her 2 cats, Tori & Kyle, and pitbull-labrador mix, Oscar.
